The Vendor's View
My husband and I bought this property when we retired over 30 years ago. We were first attracted to the location, being close to Canterbury city centre, but far enough out so that we could enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding area.
It would be very difficult to choose my favourite part of the house as it is all wonderful, but in recent years I have very much enjoyed spending time in the snug, a cosy room that leads off from both the kitchen and lounge, which is home to my piano and television set. It’s a very comfortable and bright room that looks out onto the south-facing garden, which means it benefits from sunshine all day long.
Possibly the best feature of this house is the convenience of the location. The position is very quiet, and yet you can cut through a small path to the hospital to catch one of the busses into town – a service that runs every 10 minutes. The city centre is an easy 15 minute walk away and there are a couple of local shops for essentials, including the one at the hospital. I regularly catch the bus into town myself, to take advantage of the many amenities that Canterbury has to offer.
I am now downsizing and moving just down the road to live by the sea, but this wonderful house is full of memories and we have had such happy times here.
