Living close by to Westbere is something we love about the location of our home, the village pub, green and hall where our girls used to go to pre-school all have a real sense of community. We have countryside and woodland walks near enough on our doorstep and we can be along the coast in 10 minutes by car. Commuting to London is easy from Canterbury West station and we also benefit from bus routes at the end of the road.
We have decorated our home throughout, so the rooms have a perfect mix of a modern, contemporary feel with a lot of light, while still having the beautiful features of a Victorian property from original fireplaces and doors. There is so much space here, it is a great family home and perfect for entertaining – we have had a lot of parties with our large garden and swimming pool, people love coming to stay and there is room for everyone without feeling cramped. Our summerhouse can be used as a gym or an office, so there is a lot of flexibility to our home – it almost feels like we are on holiday!
Having moved here from London we love how easy it is to enjoy all the outdoor activities as a family; going to the beach, canoeing at Grove Ferry, walking in the woods – there is plenty to keep you entertained! There are a lot of outstanding schools around here too.
We are going to miss everything about living here, the ability to host lots of people for summer barbecues, our swimming pool, the fantastic garden and all the space we have.
