Property Description

Description

This late 19th Century cottage has been transformed to a sub national home that offers spacious accommodation set over two floors, with many attractive features. Inside there are four bedrooms, a superb kitchen and an abundance of reception space.

Looking out from the rear of their commanding home, towards the land behind, they stand and watch the ponies for a while. They love the serenity of their former cottage home, as well as its privacy and leafy surroundings.

The couple bought the property in 2007, which dates back to 1904, as an investment project but, after living here for several months, realised it would be a wrench to leave. "We loved all the space here.

Period home The couple renovated the property, from top to bottom. "We wanted to keep as many of the original features as we could, while giving the period look a twist of modern as well. From the main road our property looks just like a cottage, so we kept the front rooms of our property "traditional" old stone walls, log burner etc this is the room we use Christmas times she tells us, nothing beats the roaring fire, real Christmas tree, twinkling lights and all the family round opening gifts while drinking and getting into the festive mood, she says with a smile on her face.

The rear of the property is no doubt the ooh la la of the property. "It is lovely to stand and enjoy all the beauty through the enormous windows we have here - we watch the birds in the trees, and simple just take in the natural beauty that is all around us.

Natural light The beautiful home has so much to offer both inside and out. Its rooms can be bright and airy, as well as cosy and inviting. "We are often in the entertaining room the hub of the house, " she said. The "cwtch" is wonderful in the evening - but the light that comes through its windows in the daytime is also superb." She added:

"The master bedroom is on the second storey. It is light and spacious and with the bonus of a balcony, my mornings start of here every day with a strong fresh coffee, tranquilly and country views, "it sets me up for the day" she said.

Great spaces The property still has so much potential, she said. It would make a marvelous family home, its location would render it highly appealing to birdwatchers, walkers and others who enjoy the great outdoors.

"This is such a large house. There is so much that someone else could do with it. "We are very sad to be leaving but the house is just to big for me now and it is time for a move. But we are very happy living in this area and we certainly do not want to go far."
