Trains from Strood Station, 6miles away, stop just three times on their way to St Pancras, making the journey time a mere 35minutes. One of those stations is Ebbsfleet International, where you can connect with Eurostar services to Paris, Brussels and many more continental destinations. If you prefer to fly, London City Airport is 35miles, and Gatwick is 50miles, while the ferries of Dover are around 55miles.
