Upper Rissington

Upper Rissington was once RAF Little Rissington. The original homes in the village were built in the late 30s / 40s when the air-force base played a crucial role as a training ground for pilots during World War II. The Officers’ Mess - recently converted into glamorous town houses - was very much the place to be seen during the 70s, when the base became a renowned flying school and focus of local high society life.
