Nestled next to Clapham Common, you’re no more than a 7/8 minute walk from Clapham Old Town, lined with delis, butchers, a great Saturday market plus cafes and an impressive list of restaurants. Alternatively a short stroll across the Common towards Northcote Road, and you’ll find a tasty market and some superb shopping with lots of smaller and independent shops. The produce doesn’t get any fresher or flavoursome than at Borough Market, a short tube ride away, or you can be at the heart of London in just over 20 minutes with the tube from Clapham Common to Oxford Circus. Zip on the bus to Knightsbridge, the V&A museum or the Natural History museum or take a stroll down the Southbank, hop on the London Eye with its grand panoramas or experience one of London’s great landmarks, The Tower of London.
There’s a real community spirit to Clapham Old Town, with its Victorian bandstand and small ponds – it is a natural meeting point during warmer weather and often hosts fun fairs and fetes. Clapham Common is also the ideal spot for a picnic or to watch the sun go down.
