In a small cul-de-sac off Precinct Way to the rear of Aldi, we find this little gem. With parking available to the rear and side, this attractive home is one of the top apartments, in a block of four (with its own front door entrance). Positioned as it is, offering everything that Buckley has to give by way of facilities, be it shops, leisure pursuits and even the medical centre for when the leisure pursuits become too enthusiastic, are all to be found within a short stroll of this fabulous bargain.

This has two big picture windows affording views across the neighbourhood which I must admit came as something of a surprise, as I never think of Buckley as being particularly hilly but, seeing is believing. This is a large and comfortable room and provides heating via a standard gas fire.

Another door takes us into the inner hall and from where, to our left lies the bedroom. This room, square in shape is again of a comfy size with a window overlooking the rear of the block. There is also another door, being the other one opening onto the top of the stairs. Presumably to allow late risers an extra few moments in bed before rushing for the front door. Heat is provided by a wall mounted electric heater but we are told by the current owner that such is the amount of warmth rising from the flat beneath, any heating in the apartment is largely superfluous. Reassuring, unless you live downstairs…..

Returning to the inner hall, we find facing the rear of the home; the kitchen. In all honesty this is in need of replacement as with the exception of the sink unit, it doesn’t really exist. It is simply a room with cupboards and plumbing for a washing machine but often this is no bad thing, allowing you to design something that suits your needs in the way that only you understand.

And finally, at the end of the corridor is the bathroom. Once again this would benefit from a complete refit, as there are sections of the wall tiles that are missing and the suite has, to be frank, seen better days. That having been said, it is fully functional and would thus enable any purchaser to move in and complete any renovations they see fit at their leisure, It features a pedestal hand basin, lavatory and bath and in the corner of the room stands a large airing cupboard, catering for any linen storage needs.

It offers a location so central as to almost define the term and yet also has plentiful off road parking. This centrality adds to the convenience levels, with all the facilities you need within moments walk. With this in mind, perhaps the parking is an unnecessary little luxury, but choice is always a good thing. It is big enough to allow a couple to really stretch out, yet compact enough to not leave a single occupant rattling around. It is easily maintained and economical to run. These attributes alone make it a good buy as a home or, as an easily let rental property. Either way, it is certainly worth a good long look.
