Property Description
A Wonderful Modern residence with a Period design rebuilt with ecological principles set in superb location within the delightful village of Myddfai in the Brecon Beacons National Park commanding fine views over rolling countryside at the rear to the hillsides beyond. Built to exacting standards with natural stone facade and where every attempt has been made to maximise the insulation and energy efficiency whilst providing a deceptively spacious home with potential for separate annexe accommodation (subject to obtaining any consents). The house is exceptionally economical to run. The large south east facing sun lounge heats the house remarkably well and even if the owner is away in the depths of winter, no additional heating is needed. Also, a massive 10 square meter solar unit takes care of all possible hot water requirements over the three warm seasons. In addition, there is a three thousand litre roof-water re-claim unit for toilet or garden use. The accommodation provides: Reception Hall; Study; Principal Living Room with magnificent wood burner; Sun Lounge; Shower Room; 2 Fitted Kitchens; Utility Room/Rear Hall; Boiler Room; Integral Garage; 5 Bedrooms; Shower Room and Bathroom. Biomass Heating and Wood burners. Spacious enclosed rear garden with Summer House that provides Hallway; Shower Room and Studio.

Location
The property enjoys a lovely location within this pretty country village, renowned for its scenic beauty. In the Middle Ages, Myddfai was famous as a centre for herbal healing. The wonderful parish church opposite derives from the 13th century while the circular churchyard denotes pre-Christian settlement. (One of the planning officers at the National Park Office once said to me that of the villages in the Park, Myddfai due to its unspoilt nature was the jewel in the crown. The town of Llandovery is approximately 3 mile distant, offering a wide range of facilities together with station on the 'Heart of Wales' railway line (Swansea to Shrewsbury). The A.40 provides easy access east to Brecon and west to Llandeilo and the County administrative town of Carmarthen. The M.4 motorway can be joined at Pont Abraham providing access to the University centre of Swansea and onwards to the larger centre of South Wales and the rest of the road network.
Directions
From Llandeilo the property is located by taking the A.40 to Llandovery, proceed through the town centre of the A.40 then turn right signposted to Myddfai. Travel to the village and Delglyn will be found on the left hand side.
