Local area information
Bishop Sutton is a village within the Chew Valley in Somerset lying south of Chew Valley Lake and north of the Mendip Hills, approximately 10 miles south of Bristol on the A368/A37 and 13.6 miles from Bath.

The village has a large village hall, primary school, The Red Lion pub, Sutton Spice Indian restaurant, Spar shop/Post Office, tennis club and a caravan park. Next to the village hall are sports pitches where the village football club play. New Manor Farm Shop is located just outside of Bishop Sutton on the road towards West Harptree and has a butchers and tea room which offers light lunches, afternoon tea with an excellent range of homemade cakes and Sunday roasts. There is a general store with bakery, butchers and Post Office located in West Harptree [2.4 miles] and for a larger food shop there is a co-op in Chew Magna [approximately 3 miles] or Tesco's in Midsomer Norton [7 miles].
