Directions
From the mini roundabout on the A46 in the centre of Nailsworth, go up Spring Hill in the direction of Forest Green and take the second right into Northfield Road. Continue for about 3/4 of a mile along the side of the valley and Windsoredge Lane is the fifth on the left (opposite what was originally a distinctive former Victorian school building). Go up the incline and as the lane levels out there is an obvious lay-by on the right immediately beyond which is the turning on the right, off which East View will be recognized. Go down this lane a short distance and there is private parking at the foot of the garden.

Windsoredge is a little hamlet on the edge of the popular market town of Nailsworth, situated in the south-west of the Cotswolds between the larger towns of Tetbury and Stroud. Set on a hillside, the views from here are tremendous especially towards the woods of Woodchester Park, where the little country lane leading to the turning down to East View, terminates shortly thereafter. Consequently this is an ideal location for dog walkers, as Woodchester Park is in the care of the National Trust and has an extensive network of paths to explore. Nailsworth in the opposite direction has free parking and so supports an exceptional range of independent retailers as well as a supermarket, superb delicatessen and a nationally famous bakers. London is normally under 2 hours of here by road so the cottage is perfect for weekends and it is about 75 minutes by rail from Kemble Station -15 minutes drive away, direct into London Paddington. Cheltenham and Bath are within easy reach, nearby Stroud has 4 supermarkets including a large Waitrose and an excellent provincial Theatre - The Cotswold Playhouse, part of its lively Arts scene. There is a choice of golf courses, a chance to keep a horse locally at livery and much else besides.
